Oh Sweet Baby Jesus how on point you are! I only made it through Master’s (and not PhD) because (and I told my professors this) I would rather jam splinters under my fingernails and set them alight than have to deal with one more ⚪️ 🧔‍♂️ trying to polysyllabically show how smart he is by talking about his observation of other people’s experiences.

This phrase you wrote 👆🏽is the code that we Oral historians crack. No one has the full story about anything until you speak with individuals whose names never appeared in newspapers or magazines or books. History remains unfinished until you speak with those who either add to the existing narrative or defy the narrative altogether.
