Now, roughly a month before this nationalization push, Trump told Republicans out loud and in public, that voting needed to become harder or they risked losing the midterm elections and he’ll be impeached. He tied that loss of power directly to his own political survival. Because apparently, in this political philosophy, the point of elections is not to reflect the will of the people, it’s to protect the career stability of whoever happens to be in charge.

Donald Trump and an amazing percentage of his supporters desperately need to protect themselves from being held accountable for their political and personal actions. This goes so much further than merely staying in power, which is true of the vast majority of GOP politicians.

This also includes court appointments.

Or HE will be impeached. And eventually prosecuted for crimes not covered by the SCOTUS Get Out of Jail card. He’s playing the Republicans’ self interest in service of his own interest to stay out of prison.

Donald Trump has already skated through impeachment a couple times and come out unscathed. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when Bill and Hillary Clinton appear in court next week to testify about the Jeffery Epstein scandal. Obviously Bill Clinton and Donald Trump share the presidential protection clause, yet Bill Clinton has been pressured to appear in court by the Trump administration.

I would be amazed if Bill Clinton's appearance doesn't force Trump to join in. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is terrified.

Well -- here's what's happening with one of the bills, soon to become law if Americans do not stop it, that they are planning to use to cheat

the House took this vote on the SAVE Act, a voter suppression bill, today, because they knew nobody would be paying attention

BREAKING: The House passed the so-called SAVE America Act which threatens to upend our freedom to vote.

The bill could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters by requiring documents like passports or birth certificates to register to vote and forcing voter roll purges. The Senate must reject it.

Republicans are still trying to pass the SAVE Act—a bill that would make it harder to vote and disenfranchise millions of Americans. Join

If the answer to both is 'no', then YOU CANNOT VOTE UNDER THE SAVE ACT"

I am a Georgia voter and poll watcher. I WAS skeptical about the computerized software UNTIL the SoS did a full hand recount and the results were the same.

On each paper ballot, printed at the touch screen station after yo complete your selectins, in addition to the office and the name of your selection is a QR code. The final step in the process requires you (not the poll worker) to feed the paper ballot into the scanning machine. Before you do that, a poll worker ask if you have reviewed the ballot and does it match what you wanted. The scanner deposits the ballot in a locked compartment after it is scanned.

These are the ballots that the DOI (Injustice) has had confiscated.

It turns out that the digital image of EVERY ballot is retrievable though the SoS website. I know because I downloaded every ballot from my polling place cast for the 2020 election.

IF the ballots cast in the 2020 election were want they wanted, the FBI could have retrieved every on without even a warrant.

Were the FBI or DHS or NDI to claim that there is something wrong with a paper ballot, all the ballots at the polling place can be reproduced from the scanned image and any alterations AFTER they left the custody of the Fulton County Elections office can be shown to be post raid or not.

And to the people who say that voting doesn’t matter: if your vote doesn’t matter then why are they trying so much to take it away?

And it’s such an entitled thing, to have the choice but say “I’m not political” or “I don’t do politics.”

The US should get rid of the Electoral College and let the people’s votes determine the winner. Canada has a great voting system and America would be wise to follow it.

I keep telling anyone I know that will listen (not many) that everything is a distraction so we don’t notice that they are working in the shadows to complete the P2025/26 agenda. I have friends who think I’m too political. They think we will manage to turn the tide in November due to the public outrage the administration has generated. This will get people to the polls! Unless the majority of voters see the patterns of the shadow work (the BSSAVE Act is back), develop a plan to counteract it and find leadership to help them coalesce NOW, the midterms come November will be cosplay. History does repeat, there is nothing new under the sun and if we don’t figure that out we’ll be cast into a national crisis and a historical period so dark I don’t want to begin to try and fathom it. I wish I had answers rather than mere commentary.

Howard J. Eagle's avatar

There ARE answers!!! In my humble, but unequivocally-staunch and informed view - there's only one question left (FOR ALL OF US - COLLECTIVELY) - it's the same one that the Late Jim Brown kept asking the Late Richard Pryor - when the latter was going through his struggle with drug addiction. ALL ELSE IS MERELY SUPER-HYPER-RHETORIC AND NOISE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS95ZWq1Ais&fbclid=IwAR1BxQCXsL1s4MXI3bAgn0EHvPi9AU-woZSxA9FfQKZlm9WYhv6r-oFOje8

True and insightful. I don't think this administration has any intention of holding midterm elections. Whether the excuse is voter fraud or "civil unrest" in Minnesota, I think it is wise to think about and prepare to respond to that.

Pterodactyl-Cape's avatar

That's unlikely. Even Putin holds elections. It's important for authoritarians to hand wave at the optics.

Howard J. Eagle's avatar

Elections WILL happen - it's just a matter of how much fraud will be involved (as usual).

THIS is poetry: “And our corporate media, Black Jesus bless they souls, keeps covering this like it’s just legal debate or constitutional chess. But they keep refusing to say the racial mechanics out loud. They can’t fix their lips to call a thing a thing.” Haha, AND

~ it’s largely b/c they’re bought and paid for. There’s the detrimental belief underneath of the few decent souls on the inside who think they can change the system from within even though public faces continue in Zombie-Mode with clear signs of Cordyceps taking over. Fk where’s Pedro? Oh that’s right, they didn’t stand up for him. Le sigh.
